I have actually done this race the past three years, and it is a first-class event all the way. Extremely well-organized. Flat course runs along the Indian River, with gorgeous scenery the entire way. Water stations about every mile or so, with space-themed costumed volunteers throughout. Awesome finish area and afterparty in Riverfront Park with great food and entertainment. The best bling and bonus beach towel for all finishers. Tremendous community support all along the course. Big Bang Series awards for three-year and five-year finishers is the icing on the cake. Love this race!

The start of the race is a bit precarious with the darkness of the hour (which I love most of the time), the number of runners and the multiple turns . I felt like I had to pay extreme attention to those in front of me so that I would not step on them or get tripped up. Next time I will wait until the crowd thins out to start my run.
The views along the course are beautiful!
The run to the finish is very fun.

As my first half, I wasn't sure what to expect. Since this race, I have done several more halfs and honestly, NONE have compared to how great this race is. If you are thinking about it, DO IT.
Pre-event communication is FANTASTIC. From instant communiction on facebook, to informative emails, every piece of information I got helped me get excited about the event. Packet Pick up was super easy, the T-Shirt was a long sleeved tech t, one of my favorites to this day. The expo and pre-race dinner is not only fun and unique, the food was good too! Great speaker, good food, fun location, it was truly memorable! Parking at the race was easy, the start was exciting (rocket blast off). The course is flat and pretty with lots of neighbors cheering you on. Each rest stop is themed and the volunteers really get into it. The finish line chute is fun, you get a nice beach towel that you will actually use again and the medal is HUGE. There is a TON of food - pancakes, eggs, full breakfast for runners. The excitement at the end of the race is so fun with random people telling you congratulations. Photographers were all over the course capturing the race.
